About Me

Hi, I am Chandrasekhar.

I am a Senior Software Engineer within the Insights and Data practice at Capgemini Financial Services, where I build data and AI systems that organisations rely on when accuracy, scale and governance matter. I work across Python, SQL, PySpark, Databricks and cloud platforms, turning complex data into tools that support real business decisions.

I hold an MSc in Environmental Data Science and Machine Learning from Imperial College London, previously worked at Deloitte, and am the author of the book Sustainability for Survival.

I design, build and operate production data and AI platforms that support reporting, regulatory needs and critical decision making in financial services.

Senior Software Engineer in Data Engineering

Within the Insights and Data Division of Capgemini Financial Services, responsible for building and operating production data and AI platforms for large insurance and asset management clients where accuracy, governance and traceability are critical. Delivers Databricks and cloud based pipelines, enables trusted reporting and decision making, and supports Generative AI and automation initiatives in collaboration with business and domain stakeholders.

Data Science Intern

Created one of the only AI based suite of consumer tools to help patients understand the benefits of anti-aging medications like Rapamycin. Analysed hundreds of patient records in accordance with HIPAA to generate optimal machine learning models.

September 2021 - June 2023

Business Technology Analyst

Selected by Deloitte India (Offices of the US) through Campus Placements for work in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Enterprise Resource Planning. Was selected to be a part of the first batch of graduates from the Deloitte AI Academy programme, Deloitte's flagship training initiative in Data Science and AI. Worked on creating novel AI models to streamline Enterprise Resource Planning for clients using the Infor Coleman AI platform. Developed multiple integrations and workflows for clients using Infor's Financials and Supply Management (FSM) and Global HR (GHR) platforms. Created many Python based automation tools that save time during the documentation and code environment migration processes.

Jan 2020 - May 2020

Artificial Intelligence Intern

Created an AI Model that detects and extracts financial information off an image of client invoices. Worked on advanced image recognition models like ResNet, RCNN and Faster RCNN. Used the TensorFlow library for creating the model in Python.

Graphic and Web Design Intern

Created multiple websites using WordPress for a diverse set of clients directly reporting to the CEO. Also worked on improving the Social Media handle of the company.

Electronics Intern

Worked on the design of a temperature regulating embedded device and its associated software. Created a proprietary version of a more secure and rigid Arduino Uno. Developed my skills in Python, Embedded Systems and PCB design.

Oct 2020 - March 2021

5G Academic Researcher

Selected as part of the PRISM Initiative of Samsung Research Institute Bangalore. Worked on the optimisation of 5G Networks using a novel approach I created called "Sequential Caching".

Campus Ambassador

Increased awareness about the company within our university through social media and classroom announcements. Worked towards sponsorship deals between the company and Student Clubs at university. Learned effective mass communication skills.
